Indiana Garden Club offers a minimum of $500 annually in scholarship funding. Students who are residents of Indiana County seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees in fields related to gardening and the broader mission of IGC are encouraged to apply. The current application is available for download below. Applications must be postmarked by June 15 and will be awarded at our meeting in August.
The first memorial scholarship is named
for Mrs. Julia Pound. Julia was very
involved in the garden club. She was a
past president and held other offices.
She was very active in the community. A
member of the Indiana County
Republican Council of Women, the
Historical Society, and the Indiana
County Fair Board. In 1980, Julia Pound
donated 7 acres to St. Andrews, and
there is now the Julia Pound Care
Center. Julia passed away, and in 1984,
her family made a generous donation,
which the Indiana Garden Club na
